  3. Allure of the Seas
12 family members, ranging in age from 16 - 80 met in Barcelona to cruise the Mediteranean and enjoy time together. The Allure of the Seas provided a perfect venue. Something for everyone to do each day and ample time to meet on board for dinner and review the day. The food is delicious, varied and plentiful. I enjoyed the Karaoke Bar, Piano Bar, and the track immensely. Other family members enjoyed the Casino, Surf Pool, Teen Club and Bingo. Each day, after breakfast, we went our separate ways on excursions into the Ports. My husband took fabulous pictures at the Lavendar Fields. Grandma, 2 of my daughters and I went to Ax de Provence and spent the day with Gilles Conchy of Provence Gourmet. Our's was an unforgettable experience. We met in downtown Provence. We walked around and felt like locals. We purchased food in the market, wine at a Chateau, and proceeded to Gilles Conchy's home to cook and enjoy our meal for the day! We met and got to know other people from Ireland and the US also in our cooking group. Gilles made sure everyone felt comfortable and participated in the meal. He made sure we had proper location information and arranged taxi for our safe return! The food was delicious and i feel confident we can repeat the recipes at home. A lovely way to see Provence and enjoy time together as a family. We also traveled to Florence and Pisa, Rome and Capri. All our transportation worked well and we enjoyed exploring all the venues on the Allure of the Seas! Our cabin attendant treated us like honored guests. The Men who waited on us in the dining room each night were charming, knowledgable and efficient. I recommend this cruise for families of any ages.

  • Barcelona
We walked around Barcelona on our own. Las Ramblas was a very cool area. We enjoyed the outdoor market, had Sangria and Paella outside. Used public transportation very efficiently. On the return trip, we toured La Sagrada Familia. Very cool Church under construction for over 100 years. Fascinating. Ate Tapas everywhere we went! Delicious!

  • Florence & Pisa Tour
Private Driver - Leeza from Pisa picked us up at the cruise dock. She took us to Florence first because there was a festival and we wanted to beat the crowds. Took us to a lovely view overlooking Florence. Taught us many things about the area on the drive over. Parked us in Florence and made good arrangements to meet back. We loved Florence and know we need to go back. Then drove us to Pisa. Pizza, Gelato and Cappuccino are unbelievably good in Italy!!! Thanks Leeza for safe, comfortable travel and guidance for 6 of us!

  • Aix-en-Provence
Fabulous day trip to Provence. Met downtown, walked to the Farmers Market, picked our groceries, stopped at a Chateau for Wine, proceeded to Gilles home to cook outside together! Delicious french food which i believe we can make at home. Great meeting other people from other countries with similar interests in food. Awesome to be like a local for a day! Gilles emailed us directions and made sure we got to and from the cruise ship safely and timely. He is warm and considerate and an excellent cook! I highly recommend this experience!

Lovely, got in quick with Michaels help. Fun to do once, but not my best attraction.

Michael met us off the boat. We had grandparents with us with difficulty moving. He helped us do things we could do together or found them things to do while we did more mobile things. He had all the contacts and got us into a great restaurant, a fun boat trip, the blue grotto and the chair lift. He knew how to avoid the lines. Even time for shopping and Gelato. Highly recommend!

  • Palma de Mallorca
We took the Shuttle Bus into town and walked to the nearest Beach. Enjoyed the lovely weather and view. We then walked to the central area, shopped and ate Tapas!
My husband rented a car and took pictures with other family members. They enjoyed themselves as well.

Rome is amazing. My niece spent 6 months there and gave us an itinerary. After being driven in, we started at the Vatican, visited Pantheon, Coliseum, Palatine Hills, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps. Enjoyed Gelato, Pizza, Pasta, Cappuccino, etc. Need to go back but thoroughly enjoyed!
