We took a 7 week Alaska Cruise on the Millennium and had a great time. That being said, the ship is quite tired. Service in the dining room was just OK as well. The food was average and the service staff seemed short staffed. Everyone was so busy running around that there was a lack of that personal service Celebrity is known for.
While we upgraded our free drink package some of the drinks at certain bars were nothing like the drink we ordered and were actually terrible. Again, I think they must have been short staffed. The only area with evening activity was the Martini bar. This was a disappointment as well. There was entertainment at a small lounge near the dining room but it was limited and pretty much the same type of stuffy music.
Alaska was wonderful and we made the best of the cruise as we traveled with friends. I think our next Alaska trip will be on another ship.
We had a sweet sixteen cabin so our balcony was larger. We were next to our friends and disappointed the balconies could not be opened in between. This ship really could use a dry dock renovation. The cabin was very tiny smaller than most and needed renovation. Our carpet was lumpy and the seams were open so you had to be careful not to trip especially if you got up during the night. Our friends carpet had mold. Really disappointing. Again, we made the best of it and had fun anyway.
