We should have paid more attention to the reviews on this site. The ship was built in 1994 and supposedly refurbished more recently, however it is shabby in many spots--frayed carpets in stairwell, stained carpets in halls, toilets that stopped working on several occasion. To top it off, they decided to paint the hull during one of the stopovers, and our cabin was filled with noxious and nauseating paint odor for several hours. The crew said that our ventilation ducts must have brought in the fumes and that they really couldn't do much about it. Guess what! The next day there was more painting and more fumes. The next day we got back to our cabin for a rest after lunch, only to be disturbed by nearly two hours of pounding, which turned out to be repairs on the veranda door in the next cabin. Eventually they had to come through our cabin to get at the door via our veranda. 'when we complained again, they sent a bottle of champaign at about 9:30pm. We sent it back. They told us to contact the Guest Relations Director in Florida. We did. No response.
