The Radiance is an ideal ship, not to large, lots of bars and really laid out well. Nothing is too far. We traveled with three, three generational families and we were all busy doing our thing (together or separately). The entertainment was fabulous. The shows had terrific singers ant there was always good music and people enjoying themselves at the piano bar. The slots in the casino were ancient, but they paid off pretty well!

We are not foodies, but the food on the ship was bland, repetitious and not very good. The Buffett was not serving fresh burgers ( they were sitting under a heater and so was the pizza). Pizza has to to be hot and fresh. You found the dining room service slow. Doesn't work well with small children. We ate at the Italian specialty restaurant and really enjoyed it.

We took the Zip Lining excursion in Ketchican and it was fabulous. I turned 70 on the trip and I recommend it to everyone...young and old.

Icy Strait

Unless you are taking an excursion, don't bother to get off the ship. And definitely don't try to walk into Hoonan! Take the shuttle bus.

Vancouver

Flew to Vancouver and spent two days before I boarded the ship. Great city, museums, restaurants, wonderful neighborhoods to explore and don't miss Stanley Park.
