We've just got back from a 7 night fjord cruise on Britannia. Its a lovely ship and didn't feel as large as the Ventura/Azura. We tend to prefer the mid size ships (Oriana/Arcadia) but this made a nice change. We didnt make full use of the ship in the 7 days we had and hope to return. We had a mix of sunny/overcast days and the pool areas/ inside areas never felt too busy.

I'm not usually a fan of the theatre shows but it was good to see a new range of shows, all more modern with lots of current music and good use of the stage video backgrounds. There always seemed to be spaces available in the theatre (10.30 show), and even arriving with a few minutes to spare we got wheelchair seats. We weren't so lucky with the Live Lounge though - this was always standing room only and there didn't seem to be any reserved wheelchair spaces.

Yes, it makes no sense at all to not have stairs in the middle of the ship, but I don't think there's much they can do about this now. That said we didnt have problems getting lifts. Also felt oddly claustrophobic on deck 7 at times as you couldn't get outside (other than in a few places - which were hard to find). But we soon got used to that.

Cabin Review

Cabin Accessible Suite

Lovely cabin with ample room to manouvere a wheelchair. Balcony was very long but not very wide (wide enough for a chair/ table though). Ramped access meant the wheelchair user could get out easily. Bathroom was massive, shame there was no bath though. Full wet room with shower bench. Nice sink/ vanity area looked very smart. Glad we went with an accessible room as the other cabin doors looked very small. Loads and loads of drawers/ storage. We counted about 10 that we didnt even use!

Lovely little town, great for hiking and we lost a few hours in the brew pub- well worth a visit.
