When we booked this cruise 9 months before departure, we were (party of 7) excited. Over the next 9 months, i read all the reviews about the Quantum. They varied greatly, which was concerning.

We spent 10 days and 9 nights on board and the following is my Review.

The Good - It is a beautiful ship, with lovely decor. The boarding was no different to the boarding we completed 18 months ago from Singapore, on the Mariner of the Seas. It took about 30 minutes from kerb to ship. No new technology 10 minute boarding time here. We pre-booked the Restaurants and had no booking issues. We only dinned at the complimentary restaurants. The quality of the food varied, however, overall it was good. Not exceptional, but, good. We did not mind the new dining style, however, our preference is still the Main Dining Room style. Staff were impersonal and you did not form a relationship, which was disappointing.

Cabin Review

Superior Ocean View Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin D6

Cabin was great. It appears narrower than the Mariner of the Seas. Great storage. Mac, our room attendant was excellent.

Port Reviews

Singapore

Good terminal

Hong Kong

Good port. Would have preferred the city dock.
