This is the first trip on the Disney Dream. My son (23 yr.) and I took this cruise because of the two stops at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay. The embarkment day went smoothly and quickly. We had an inside room which had plenty of storage and room for two people. The room had a magical porthole which showed Disney characters and pictures of the sea. We enjoyed this porthole since we are not able to afford a room with a porthole or verandah. The only show we did not enjoy was Villians. The show on the last evening was terrific. We also saw three movies in the Walt Disney Theatre. The staff was helpful and very cheerful.

During the two island days my son rode a Ski Do, an hour excursion, and fed the stingrays. I enjoyed the adult beach, Serenity Bay. I had a float both days and we enjoyed Mahi Mahi, and steak for lunch. Serenity Bay was exactly that - serene. The sun is strong so we were sure to use lots of sunscreen, sunglasses and hats. In Nassau my son went to Atlantis while I relaxed on the ship. There were plenty of places to get food on the ship while we were docked at Atlantis. We were seated with two lovely woman and enjoyed their company each evening. This cruise was not long enough but it was wonderful. This was our fourth Disney cruise but the first one my son took as an adult. He enjoyed the experience. My son worked out every day and was happy with the fitness equipment. We are already saving for our next Disney cruise.

Cabin Review

Standard Inside Stateroom

Cabin 11A

This inside cabin was roomy with a lot of storage. We had to put our key card in a slot as we entered the room to turn the lights on. We were very satisfied with the location and cleanliness of the room. This cabin is close to the elevators and stairs. My son took the stairs the entire time while I took the elevator due to arthritis in my legs. There were many elevators and the waiting time was not unreasonable. A couple of nights we could hear workers moving carts but it did not affect our sleep. We were so exhausted from all the activities that we slept wonderfully.
