Mira at guest services was excellent; rigidity was a concern elsewhere.

When we got to our room we found that one of the wave phones was broken. Called maintenance, they could not care less. As opposed to having someone fix the issue, I was asked to bring it to guest services and have it checked out. The sit down dinner seating stops at 8:30 pm sharp even though the shows go on until 11 pm. If you are watching a show and don't make it to the restaurant by 8:30 pm, ....their excuse - they have two performances and two dinner seatings, make it work. To me, when you are vacationing, especially on an expensive cruise as Disney, you are there to do things at your pace and not at their rigid pace. When we were working towards changing an appointment we expressed our frustration to Mira at guest services and she quickly got on things and made sure we were well cared for. She checked on us each day, sent us a thoughtful care package etc.....

Oceaneer club was good at keeping our kids entertained with the exception of one employee that had a bee in their bonnet, so to speak. Abundance of characters for photo ops for kids. Pirate party was fun. Fireworks were good. Castaway Cay was good. Initial embarkation process was EXCELLENT and seamless. No delays or long lines unlike other cruises we have been. Shows were fun and entertaining, kids loved them. There is an overall rich feel to the ship compared to other cruise lines. We had a balcony room. However, we did not spend much time on the balcony.

Spent over $4K for 3 nights for 2 adults and two very young kids (4 and 9). I think it was way overpriced. Food menu was unchanged for all 2 1/2 days at deck 11 outside of their sit down restaurant hours which as I mentioned earlier are limited. Goes back to rigidity - my way or highway. disembarkation was not quite as smooth as the embarkation process. They offer onboard discounts for future cruises. Cabin was comfortable and well appointed. Room service had limited options but was prompt. One good thing I liked about them was that they provided envelopes and little slips stating the amount of gratuities that were collected from us to pay each support staffer, for us to hand that envelope to each of the four (1 room attendant and 3 restaurant staffers). Each cruise line collects the money but does not allow you the satisfaction of looking the recipe t in the eye and thanking them for the service. The restaurant staff rotates with you each night so you are served by the same staff.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah

Well appointed. The attendant did a fine job at keeping it clean and ready for us throughout. The furnishings and equipment have a rich feel. It's tastefully decorated and attention to details shows in the fact that there was plenty of storage space. Sofa, the bedding, the coffee table, the desk, the separate shower and toilet, the toiletries were all very tastefully done.
