On our 3rd cruise with Princess (and first to the Mediterranean) we had a wonderful time that surpassed what we were expecting. From the start in Barcelona, we were blessed with excellent weather at every port but our last in Venice, where it rained much of the day. The cuisine & service was very good to excellent in the Horizon Court as well as our anytime dining location, the Bordeaux Room.
Due to the port-intensive nature of the cruise (and early morning excursions), our activities were mainly limited to entertainment acts and production shows in the Princess Theater. We enjoyed the magician/comedian and musician/singers as well as the Production Shows. I understand Princess is experimenting with shortened shows, but 22-25 minutes seems too brief. Only the “On the Bayou” show was a full 45 minutes, and it was exceptional with beautiful sets, lighting and costuming. The Princess singers and dancers were very good, a cut above those on our last cruise. We always seemed to wind up at Crooners every night where Daniel Oliver was excellent as always - such a talented performer with a versatile and beautiful voice. The Cruise Director, Dan Appleby was both entertaining and informative.
On all but sea days, we had breakfast delivered to our cabin due to the early excursions we had scheduled. Despite the limited menu, this worked out very well and allowed us to grab a little more sleep time.
Not new but very clean. Everything worked well - no issues.
Large bathtub and shower were very nice - going to be hard to use a standard shower again!
Excellent location for quickly navigating the ship's activities due to elevator/stairwell proximity.
