We were on the Grandeur of the Seas on the 19 JUN 15 sailing out of Baltimore. I was traveling w/a roommate as my DH couldn't make it along w/a couple in the next cabin. They were a bit handicapped but our cabins were centrally located so this was not an issue.
Most of our activities were on the 5th & 6th decks except for the Windjammer for lunch or the Solarium pool. We went to the shows every night but were not overly enthusiastic about the acts with one exception.
We ate in the dining room every night w/two exceptions. One night we ate @ Izumi for our friends birthdays. It was fun cooking our own meal on Hot Rocks & the wait staff was excellent. They brought our a flan w/2 candles & sang to our friends & also, gave us a champagne toast.
Our cabin was quite comfy & as long as my cabin mate & I were tidy it was adequate. Initially our beds were together but Katia, our attendant, separated them for us at dinner time. The beds were quite comfy but too low for my suitcase & the other hard sided carry on. This went into my suitcase & sat at the end of my bed between it & the loveseat. Not in anyone's way. The other case did fit under a bed. Neither my cabin mate nor I is very big so the shower was just fine for us. Storage was good & we even had empty drawers.
The location was excellent for the others in my party because the dining room was just aft of the elevators in the Centrum & we were in the hallway just forward of the Centrum.
Very convenient!
We stayed overnight in the Days Inn in Glen Burnie. It had car parking & a shuttle to the port RT. Very convenient.
