Having been on many different cruise lines over the past 10 years we purposely chose Royal Caribbean because we were taking our 13 month Grandson and RCI brochure States the Explorer of the Seas if a family freindly ship. Therefore we expected a child freindly environment, how wrong was we. Babies/toddlers can only use the pools if they are 100% toilet trained they are not allowed to wear swimming nappies which are a lot more hygienic.Other cruise ships we have be on have had a separate pool and play area where toddlers can play. There is a play room on deck Two which is dull on dingy.

Not certain if RCI have recently fitted more cabins on the Explorer but there did not seem to be a lot of space on the pool deck and also we found it difficult to get a seat in any of bar areas

The menu's in the main restaurant was adequate but did not differ a great deal each night.
