Just returned from a much awaited cruise on the new ship Britannia. The ship is too large. The food was great and plenty of choice to suit everyone. That's the only good thing I can say about the cruise. If your looking for entertainment....don't book to go on this ship. If your old and just want to sit around doing nothing and go to bed at 9pm every night then this is the ship for you. The theatre is tiny and 2 sittings in the evening is nowhere near enough to cater for 3,600 passengers. If you are prepared to go and sit in the theatre 2 hours prior to the start of the show then maybe you were one of the lucky ones to see a performance.

The staff in the costa coffee shop were rude and ill mannered and did not want to serve people. Trying to get in a lift is virtually impossible so be prepared to walk up and down the stairs which are miles apart. The cabins are tiny and the balcony so which you pay a small fortune for the privalidge for are absolutely tiny, God only knows how families carry on in these rooms. There were many disabled passengers on the ship, day after day we would see these people in their wheelchairs waiting around for lifts while able bodied pensioners were floating up and down in them. This ship is so desperately poor in design for able bodied people let alone wheel chair users. The disembark net when we docked at Southampton was nothing short of downright dangerous. Hundreds of passengers crowded on the stairs and corridors, if there had been an emergency, people would have been in danger of being crushed, it was a force.

Very little entertainment and very little to do. Anyone thinking of booking to go on a cruise should consider the azure which catered for all our needs and was passenger focussed. All in all I wish I'd never booked this ship and was happy when we finally reached Southampton.

Cabin Review

Cabin Outside cabin with balcony

Far too small. Not enough storage space. Shower room tiny. Balcony minute.

Port Reviews

Southampton

Lovely port. Plenty of shops and places to eat

Barcelona

Could not believe how dirty Barcelona is. Good range of shops.

Genoa

Shocked how dirty it appeared on first getting off the ship but after a long walk arrived in a cleaner, lovelier location. We really liked this place.
