This was my 9th Carnival Cruise and second with my kids going with us. Let's start at the beginning. Embarkation was a breeze and so was disembarkation. Probably the best we ever had. We self assist and was off the ship at 9 A.M. and we got there noon on arrival and was on ship by 12:30. Really was a great boarding process.

The 7 days we were on board were good. I give this cruise an average rating for dining service and entertainment. I never met our cabin steward and out of the 9 cruises this was first time that has happen. Normally on the first day they know our name and always greet us. Not this time but the room was cleaned every day but fact I didn't meet him was bit out of the norm. The main dining staff was average. Carmello was head waiter and Bonn was assistant. Bonn worked our table all week and knew everyone name and so did Carmello but he didn't our table much. The service was way slower that the other tables around us but they did make our kids feel right at home and got everything we asked for. The service was good but just a very slow pace and not much interaction like other waiters we had in the past.

The entertainment was lack luster. The Hasboro game show was pretty fun but the shows after dinner are way below average with average singers. The comedians were OK except for Mark Simmons. That man was funny and we went every show. The best I seen on cruise by far. There needs to be more music at the pool besides the 2-3 hours they do now. There needs to be more contests or games than just the standard hairy chest and cocktail making contest. There was a 4 piece band that played in the reg frog pub that was pretty good. My biggest stink that I had was the BINGO. I played once and never again. There was 80 people or so playing average 20 dollars pop but could go up to 40 dollars depending on packet chosen. You play 3 games and the pay out for that session was 350 dollars. Carnival profited the rest. They have bingo 3-4 times a day I think 7 days week. Again, we had great time as we always do because we are on vacation.

Balcony

Cabin 8E

balcony room for the first time as was pretty nice. much larger than interior room. We slept four in there and actually was not bad. I was worried to be honest but ended up being really nice.
