  3. Regal Princess
1. Princess Regal - Northern Europe / Baltic Sea Cruise - June 15th, 2015 2. Princess Travel Package (+1 night stay at Radisson Blue Royal in Copenhagen) - Very good flight schedules, transfers, and hotel 3. Ship too large for this itinerary - We had to dock at furthest out pier and had to tender while smaller ships went right into town or were much closer to city centers. Wasted a lot of time awaiting to get off ship / tender / transfer busses / customs line in Russia / etc. 4. Regal was a paradox in many ways: + Beautiful wood work / brass / furniture / flooring / glass / etc. + Fabulous Itinerary - St Petersburg showcase port / loved Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallin, Oslo ok, did not get to Berlin or Stockholm - too far, disorganized to/from - not enough time - 3500 Cruisers / long lines / noisy all the time / Atrium midship fabulous looking, but not enough chairs or anywhere to sit for midship entertainment, everything on ship was "up-charge" - was told by crew staff at least 10-12 times "that is an up-charge service and it is optional - you don;t have to do it", etc... + First time in 20 cruises that we have eaten almost every meal in Horizon Court on Lido Deck - Buffet was outstanding - great menu selections / -- deserts were light spongy "jello-box mix" type and very disappointing vs main dining room + Service was average - across the board - wait staff generally average and not particularly friendly _ Activities - poor selection - but reason for cruise was ports so not a big deal + Cabin - restricted balcony - fine - not really restricted at all ++ Cabin Steward Outstanding, friendly, courteous, responsive, and helpful in every way ___ Jogging Track muddled / Pools too cold to get in - 60-75 degrees and not heated...jacuzzis cold around 85-90 degrees / Need to have enclosed / removable roof like on smaller Pincess Ships like Alaska for cooler climates...Movies, pools, jogging, etc. not used at all by passengers - just too cold outside - everyone went into dining areas and took window tables and held them all day, etc......not designed well at all... ++ Entertainment best of any Cruise that we have been on... Chris Watkins - Violinist superb Beatlemania - fun, upbeat Princess Show Band / Orchestra - best at sea that we have seen Big Production Shows - very good music and dancing performance Illusionist - OK - mostly card tricks Pianist - good String Quartet Outstanding whole cruise - Disembarkation - had to wait for three hours till 0930 - last to get off due to transfer to local Copenhagen Hotel SUMMARY - The Cruise Experience was very good due to fabulous itinerary at ports...Regal not designed well for Customers - more designed to handle big crowds rather that big positive overall experience. I will not said the Regal, Royal, or the new ship in Royal class every again - I am done with the bigger ships...will go back to 70-90k ton medium or smaller size ships with more personality and service oriented programs....

1. Princess Regal - Northern Europe / Baltic Sea Cruise - June 15th, 2015

2. Princess Travel Package (+1 night stay at Radisson Blue Royal in Copenhagen) - Very good flight schedules, transfers, and hotel

3. Ship too large for this itinerary - We had to dock at furthest out pier and had to tender while smaller ships went right into town or were much closer to city centers. Wasted a lot of time awaiting to get off ship / tender / transfer busses / customs line in Russia / etc.

4. Regal was a paradox in many ways:

+ Beautiful wood work / brass / furniture / flooring / glass / etc.

+ Fabulous Itinerary - St Petersburg showcase port / loved Copenhagen, Helsinki, Tallin, Oslo ok, did not get to Berlin or Stockholm - too far, disorganized to/from - not enough time

- 3500 Cruisers / long lines / noisy all the time / Atrium midship fabulous looking, but not enough chairs or anywhere to sit for midship entertainment, everything on ship was "up-charge" - was told by crew staff at least 10-12 times "that is an up-charge service and it is optional - you don;t have to do it", etc...

+ First time in 20 cruises that we have eaten almost every meal in Horizon Court on Lido Deck - Buffet was outstanding - great menu selections /

-- deserts were light spongy "jello-box mix" type and very disappointing vs main dining room

+ Service was average - across the board - wait staff generally average and not particularly friendly

_ Activities - poor selection - but reason for cruise was ports so not a big deal

+ Cabin - restricted balcony - fine - not really restricted at all

++ Cabin Steward Outstanding, friendly, courteous, responsive, and helpful in every way

___ Jogging Track muddled / Pools too cold to get in - 60-75 degrees and not heated...jacuzzis cold around 85-90 degrees / Need to have enclosed / removable roof like on smaller Pincess Ships like Alaska for cooler climates...Movies, pools, jogging, etc. not used at all by passengers - just too cold outside - everyone went into dining areas and took window tables and held them all day, etc......not designed well at all...

++ Entertainment best of any Cruise that we have been on...

Chris Watkins - Violinist superb

Beatlemania - fun, upbeat

Princess Show Band / Orchestra - best at sea that we have seen

Big Production Shows - very good music and dancing performance

Illusionist - OK - mostly card tricks

Pianist - good

String Quartet Outstanding whole cruise

- Disembarkation - had to wait for three hours till 0930 - last to get off due to transfer to local Copenhagen Hotel

SUMMARY - The Cruise Experience was very good due to fabulous itinerary at ports...Regal not designed well for Customers - more designed to handle big crowds rather that big positive overall experience. I will not said the Regal, Royal, or the new ship in Royal class every again - I am done with the bigger ships...will go back to 70-90k ton medium or smaller size ships with more personality and service oriented programs....
