Firstly, I was well impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the staff together with the skill and wit of the Captain.
However, there were many problems that detracted from us fully enjoying our second cruise experience:
# Given that most of the time spent in the cabin is actually spent in bed, two single mattresses pushed together do not make a comfortable night's sleep
Cabin was fine but more drawers would have been appreciated. Dampness on the carpet at the balcony door was evident
Far too busy; difficult to get bearings. Resorted to using compass to work out direction back to port
Beautiful: had a drink in a quiet square and discovered more of the waterfront when we explored through a small alley; a Saturday and the market was wonderful. Such a pity we cannot get there easily from Scotland as I would definitely consider a holday there
Looked nice when I researched but we did not venture ashore as the transfer price was excessive and we were exhausted after wasting time in the previous stop at Ravenna
Again very busy; it would be nice to explore the old town when the cruise ships have left
Our favourite - just the history and the enormity of the achievements in creating the city. Will go back to explore in more depth
Following dirty Catania, this was another Italian disappointment. Cafes too eager to rip off customers
