The Norweigan Dawn as said in other reviews is a little tired and has some issues throughout the cruise. To begin with on deck 12 where the pool is is quite small the size of the pool is really small and there is absolutely no way that there was enough room for the majority of the cruisers to enjoy themselves. Along with the pool being to small while walking around throughout the cruise there is spots on the floor where it is bubbled so when you step on those spots you feel the floor drop/pop. I am pretty sure that it is not supposed to do that.

The next complaint I had while on board the Norwegian Dawn was that the service was awful throughout the majority of the cruise. To begin with, I had a question about the hours of the miniature golf place that was located in the port where we were docked and not one person seemed to know anything about it. Like seriously! I can understand if it was somewhere else on the island but it is just a hop and a skip from the ship. The next service complaint I had was about the dining service this cruise is the first cruise that my family has been on where it is freestyle and we were not pleased at all. The Aqua restaurant is horrendous we had some nights where we had to call over the Maitre D just to get bread for our table and try to order something for drink besides water and not from the bar such as lemonade or iced tea good luck you will get your food first. The Aqua dining room does not require pants at any point of the cruise so many choose to go there but trust me bring pants and ware them on Sat and Wed the two Formal nights by choice and you will be all set to go to the Venetian Restaurant, which is also free and gorgeous, for the entirety of your cruise. The service out blows the aqua. Also a hint if you find a waiter or waitress you really like you may reserve them for a 5:00 or 8:30 sitting but if you ask enough and your waiter is not available for the 5 sitting the hostess may allow you to reserve a 5:30 sitting.

I had absolutely no problems with the housekeeping staff at all my room steward Dennis was phenomenal and my parents had liked theirs also. The only problem I had was on Thursday night when the toilet in my room got clogged and it took over three hours for them to resolve the issue. It was not my steward either he reported it twice and I did once by calling 00 the engineering department took forever. The only good thing is that they fix it from out side your room some how in the guts of the ship so no one ever has to com in to your room. The Embarkation of the ship was really easy and the rooms were ready before the projected time but on the other hand the Disembarkation was a little confusing and customs at the port of Boston is the easiest customs we have ever gone through. My family has been on three cruises prior all on carnival and all three of them blow this cruise out of the water. Our next cruise will be back on carnival for sure.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

The Cabin overall was very clean when we arrived there was four people in my cabin. The Cabin consisted of two single beds that can be pushed together and one sofa bed that was made in to two separate beds when it was made by our steward. The bathroom had a tub and shower combination and was pretty spacious compared to my parents room 9128 which was balcony room. When we arrived the two single beds were spaced out with a table in between but then the closet is not able to be opened fully so I choose to push the beds together.

Port Reviews

Boston

The Embarkation process was really easy and smooth and the dis embarkation process with customs is the easiest and smoothest out of all the ports we have traveled through
