I enjoy the Bermuda cruise. 3 days in a lovely port with great beaches. This was my third time on the Breakaway, second time on this itinerary (first time I was on NCL Star). I sailed on the June 14th-21st itinerary.
The Breakaway is a lovely ship but it's not without its issues. The food was better this time than on my last NCL in 2014. I had a regular Inside Cabin for the first time on this ship and the location was fine, not too loud overall, but I had a neighbor who was a door slammer. Constantly slamming the door and it was disruptive (sleeping in was impossible). While I commented to guest relations about it, they couldn't do anything unless I made sure the people were there and they could call security to send someone up. I thought it was a drawn out process from something that could be fixed with a quick call or note from someone in management on the ship.
Shanghai's being complimentary now meant everyone and their extended family was trying to eat there during the dinner hours. All but the last night of the cruise, the wait was 45-60 minutes to be seated. I was able to get in under 10 minutes the final night. That was farcical considering it's decent, basic Chinese food, not great Chinese cuisine. I guess it being complimentary got people excited. The first time I sailed on the Breakaway, it was a la carte, and I never had to wait (it was also never more than half full).
Good cabin, though for 4 people would be pushing it. Good for 2 people.
Not as crowded with the new staggered onboard system
