We just returned from a 10 cruise on the Pearl Mist called The Canadian Maritines. Our weather was great. There were no storms of which I was thankful. The ship had some movement because it was the Atlantic Ocean. We left Portland, Me. and disembarked in Quebec City, Canada. We visited some interesting small ports along the way. We only missed one port that we were scheduled to see because of the weather. However, we did have to stay overnight in Halifax because of weather problems projected for the next day.

The ship is beautiful, the help is smiling and have a great attitude toward the passengers. The service is wonderful, the food was very good. They offered 1/2 portions if you desire, which I did at most meals. There is abundance of food, and lots of beer, wine, and drinks. The cocktail hour with the hordeurves was very good. Of course, you can have non-alcoholic drinks as well. We were on a tour of some kind each day. This trip is a little expensive but the stateroom and bathroom are larger than other small ships we have traveled on.

I think the entertainment could be expanded. We had the same group all week, except for 2-3 nights that we had John Spyder who did an awesome job. The historian on board was great but we skipped some of his talks because of the length of the discussions. John Keeneweer was the Pearl Seas representive on board and he was great! Very helpful and congenial. We were on the third deck and had no problems. The balcony was used very seldom because it was too cold or rocking of the ship. All in all, it was a great trip and we have great memories.
