I read the review before this one and couldn't believe this was the same cruise. It just goes to show how different every person's opinions are.
We landed in Amsterdam four days before our cruise and stayed with family and had a great time. We find we never have enough time in Holland. There is so much to see and do outside of Amsterdam.
We boarded our ship on the 9th and found it incredibly fast. We walked in with our luggage, walked up to the desk to do our paper work, had our photo taken and boom, on board. No lines nothing. That was at noon.
Totally unobstructed view. Good size, lots of storage. A bit noisy on docking but the rest of the time very quiet. Long walk to the dining room at the aft of the ship, but good for the waistline. Close to the elevators.
Like this port. Very pretty, but also very steep hills. Not a good port for handicapped.
Nice to walk around on your own.
We did take a Hop on Hop off bus first and that was fun. Great waterfront.
We did spend a few hours in the town and its so new since being rebuilt after the war, theres not a lot to see. It was interesting though.
