I have done serveral cruises and this one is definately the worst which is a shame as it is a beautiful ship. General comments are: Staff appeared tired and over worked. A number of them bordered on being rude and disinterested. It really appeared like most people didn't want to be there. In saying that our room attendant and main dining room waiter were very attentive and helpful but again seemed over worked. Also one of the ladies in the Spa area (Lydia) was also very helpful and happy. Staff appear to be more interested in selling you stuff rather than providing good service. This probably comes from the company pushing them to do this. Food in the Main Dining room was terrible. Overcooked, cold and bland. Food in the buffet was much better but lacked variety from day to day. The buffet area is too small with not enough seating. People/passengers generally very rude and every man for himself - not a good experience. Spa specials bordered on being dishonest. A hair wash and dry special for 18 euro's ended up costing 31 euro's once they added on the cost of the shampoo and the conditioner! 15% service charge added to everything as well as $15 for two people automatically taken as service charge - does this money go to the staff providing the service or back to the company... it certainly didn't improve the quality of the service. Challenges with them changing their key card system - didn't advise this was happening so key cards did not work to purchase drinks in the bar.... Entertainment - saw a few shows and they were ok to watch. The quality of the choreography and timing was pretty poor though. I won't be cruising on MSC again.
