We did a round trip from Seattle because our daughter lives there and went with us. Otherwise I would go on a one way cruise out of Vancouver or Anchorage so we could see more and spend less time at sea. The service was great. The ports of call, Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway and Victoria, BC, were great and the ship was very punctual on arriving and departing on time. The room stewards were fantastic as they straightened the rooms twice a day. The food was good and the waiters were very attentive. We enjoyed the excursions which I reviewed separately. On-board entertainment - the shows were very good except for the comic who told old jokes I first heard as a child. The cruise director told an off hand joke on stage about a company. It happened to be a company I have been affiliated with for 40 years. I did not laugh. It was inappropriate. Other than that I was OK with him. I would have told him so, but I never ran into him the whole cruise, just saw him on stage or on the TV.

The weather was colder than weather.com predicted. There were 4 of us (all adults) on our first cruise. Overall, we had a blast and would go again.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MA

Plenty of room, large bed, sofa bed, two flat screen TVs, nice bathroom with tub and shower, and a balcony with two chairs and a table. Slept great.

Port Reviews

Seattle

The embarkation at the port is very smooth and quick both ways. We flew in and out of SEATAC
