As a loyal RCI cruiser it is with a heavy heart I have to leave such a review. I have made this Nassau / Cocoa Cay trip about 10 times with this cruise line and have watched what was exceptional cruising & customer service (Monarch of the seas) slide down to a down right miserable vacation experience (Enchantment of the seas). It was such a mess this trip we asked to get off the ship before it even left port! Sadly the guest relations manager screwed up the keys to our 5 suites & we were unable to open our doors & get our personal items. They were able to get the keys working and we were able to open the doors after the ship was moving & they had us & our money for the weekend. Hindsight has this looking / feeling like kidnapping & dragged out of the country. At this point this family vacation / birthday celebration was not feeling to festive.
Booked 5 suites with RCI booking agent. 4 suites (2 pair) were supposed to be connecting due to traveling with children. Arrived at ship to find we only had 2 rooms connecting. Why is the RCI booking agent unable to know floor plans of ships? What are you supposed to do onboard ship with an 11 person party ranging from a 4 year old to grand parents with no working sea pass cards? Ever try to buy a drink / comfort kids while guest relations tries to fix things without a sea pass card. Good luck.
Exact details of problems.
Port Canaveral is wonderful!
When in Nassau try a day beach pass at the Melia hotel. A++
