This was my first time on NCL. I've cruised Carnival from Florida three times in the past and in comparison: will only do NCL from now on. However, I'm not really comparing apples to apples as the Jade was European and I'm not sure if their Florida based trips are as good. I'll assume so.
First of all, I booked two cabins: mini suite with balcony and an inside room across the hall. Both rooms were fine. I also got the offer at the time for the unlimited drink plan which I will also talk about. The food choices that were included in the price were a bit limited (buffet and then two seated dining rooms that had identical menus). We did eat at one specialty restaurant: Teppanyaki - good, but really salty..but that's the nature of soy sauce.

Mid-Ship Oceanview Picture Window
great cabin. We slept with the balcony door open so we could hear the ocean waves. Lots of drawers and shelving and plenty of closet space. Tub with shower.
