My goodness after reading the negative reviews I was dreading our cruise but I really don't know what all the fuss is about some people seem to go on a cruise to moan! This was our third cruise the last two on Marco Polo but first time on Magellan. We live close to the port and when we arrived it was very busy but well organised and we were soon on board and shown to our cabin by a very friendly member of staff, and our cases were waiting for us. We found it easy to find your way around, it was very clean and all the staff were helpful, polite and friendly. Lots of bars to choose from inside and out - weather permitting. We had our evening meal in Kensington restaurant and the staff and good were great. We was on second sitting so didn't leave the restaurant until late and if like us you are not interested in the entertainment Sinatra's bar is a good place for a night cap. The Bistro does get busy and people hogging the tables at lunch is something maybe the staff need to address but the food was good and a great selection. We took thermal travel cups with us which you can make tea or coffee in at the tea station to take back to your cabin. We also bought the on board drinks package which was great value although the drinks are not over priced. We didn't experience any engine noise but maybe we were just lucky. We were on level 5 and our cabin was spacious, clean, with complimentary shampoo and soap, clean bedding and towels very day. We were very well informed about everything the daily programme which was delivered to your cabin daily was great. The Fjords are beautiful and although reached by tender was very well organised. We loved it, maybe this size ship is not for everyone but each to their own. We will definitely be travelling on the Magellan again am looking forward to it!
Spacious, clean, well equipped, lots of wardrobe space, everything you need
