My husband and I have cruised many times. The Marina is a great ship with lovely decor and for our recent 2 week cruise, we had the best staff and crew. The entertainment was the best I've seen on a cruise ship, the food was great and we enjoyed all the ports as well.
It's such a shame that because of accounting procedures and the uncaring attitude of those involved when we explained the situation, that we won't be cruising again with Oceania.
When they print off your Preliminary Invoice a couple of days before Disembarkation, they don't provide a full accounting of your on-board account. When the Final Invoice is received on the morning of Disembarkation, then it shows the amount of "Unused Non Refundable Credits", but at that time, it's too late to use them.
We took the free shuttle out of the port area and walked 5 minutes to the store across from the church. For $10 for each of us, we bought an all day bus/tram ticket and went into Brugge. We walked around enjoying the sights, bought some chocolate and went on a Canal Boat Ride. It was a great day!
What an amazing city. We walked directly from the ship and it took us about 10 minutes. We opted for the Hop On Hop Off Canal Boat. There are thousands of bikes so you need to be careful crossing streets. It's a very easy city to explore on your own, taking in the museum, numerous attractions (long line-ups for some) and lots of places to eat and people watch!
