Bottom Line: Very decent cruise line. The best? – depends what you’re looking for. Superb for entertainment and flexible eating times. Great for children’s and teens programs. Excellent cruise director (and her name is even Julie, like in the Love Boat tv shows) Ship pool deck layout not as nice as Royal Caribbean’s, but there are many pluses to Norwegean.

* Crew was very nice and accommodating, good cabin steward, although sometimes late to make up room. Not big deal for us, though it might be for someone else. I recommend using the buttons near the door which signal either “Do not disturb” or “Please make up my room”.

* Entertainment: Absolutely second to none! Exceptional musicians, actors, dancers, comedy. We saw "Burn the Floor” and it was hard to decide whether to focus on the drummer or the dancers - both were outstanding. “Rock of Ages” was more profane than expected and there were a few times Gretchen and I looked at each other since the boys were with us - not sure whether to stay or not, but being 16 and 17 we kept on. There were one or two scenes where attendees should know that the body movements were VERY suggestive; however, we chalked that up to theatre and stayed the course. The musical itself is not that great in terms of plot, but the actors were really excellent. We went to 3 performances of “Second City” and I must say it is the shortest 45 minutes of entertainment I’ve experienced. They were delightful (a couple off-color comments for any of your clients who might care - not horrible, though there were “adult” improv performances later in the evening we didn’t attend where I would guess anything goes). Gretchen and I were called up to the stage by the actors who re-enacted our “first date”. They were really funny and I enjoyed them.

Cabin Review

Aft-Facing Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B1

Plenty of shelf and closet area for two. You must leave your key card in the slot inside in order to keep electricity on; however climate control remains constant even when key card is not engaged.
