I have been on several cruise and my previous experience with NCL was fabulous. Not so much this time. Firstly, the majority of the staff are lazy and incompetent. The best workers were the maintenance staff - they worked tirelessly all day and night and always were pleasant and efficient. The activities crew are the worst. They don't know what they are doing and nor do they care. There are no clear directions on activities and nobody knows what anyone else is doing. We were given wrong information when it came to playing games (for a fee) and no information when it came to contest. When you ask a question nobody knows. "that is not their department" (I have had better treatment at motor vehicle) If you ask a question or have a concern you are berated by ego driven ignorant crew members. I feel like I was swindled by the likes of a used car salesman. Watch out for any suggestions or support from anyone selling anything (there like carnies - out to swindle you out of your money) the shops are pathetic - I have more choices of finding something I want to actually buy in a car wash) You have to be careful where you eat. The buffet is your best bet - at least you don't have to wait for the incompetent server to figure out what they are doing (happened on several occasions in the Magenta dining room). There are tons of kids and that is not a problem except for the drunk parents who don't care what there kids are up to (trashing bathrooms and throwing each other out of doors and on to the deck. Watch out for the ever present drug dealer (he should have worn a sign for the crew to pick up on). Don't bother going to any theme parks in Florida - you just have about enough time to get there and maybe wait in line to get on two rides before it is time to get back to the ship.

I don't want this review to be completely negative so the day trip to the private island was great - all the rentals for equipment etc. are very reasonable. some of the little stands on the the island do accept credit cards f(the activities crew and the cruise director don't know that - so save yourself a trip back to the ship to pick up a credit card) they have some nice things to buy.
