This was our second week on back to back cruises. The first was NCL Getaway. READ post from NCL Getaway. We booked Johns Car Service # 954-303-8747 from POM to Cruise Terminal and arrived at 10AM. We had no wait time checking our luggage or getting our Sea Pass Card. Very efficient. Once on board we immediately headed to Park Café where we knew it would get crowded. We feel it was a better choice than the Windjammer Café. We were able to get into our room a little after 1PM and all our luggage was there. Room # 12224 was spacious but we had an issue with the room not being clean. We called and our room steward Stanley made sure everything was cleaned. The ship is very well designed and easy to navigate thru out the different floors, but everyone must be patient with the wait for elevators with 6000 people on the ship. We bought the Replenish and Premium beverage package and enjoyed all the bars and staff. We are not much into drinking but these two weeks we enjoyed ourselves. FOOD We did all Specialty dinning. We received 30 percent in onboard credit for booking 3 specialty dining venues. 150 Park- very limited menu food was good but will not go back Giovanni's Table- Great service and delicious food Sabor Good food and priced right Chops grill- we did this two nights amazing service and food Solarium Bistro- Amazing main course So many choices to choose from I gained 14 pounds on back to back cruises and with all the alcohol I consumed I figured at least 20 pounds LOL ENTERTAINMENT- CATS- Left before intermission just was too long and repetitive for us COMEDY Awesome Aqua Theater Very Good Show HEADLINNER- Earl Turner very entertaining COME FLY WITH ME Awesome FROZEN IN TIME Just wasn't for us THE SHIP ITSELF I found it to be very easy to get around, not too crowded or too big. We enjoyed the Solarium, shopping, bars, Boardwalk, Central Park, and the Promenade. I did not participate in rock climbing or flow rider but looked like the kids enjoyed it. EXCURSIONS I would like to mention a private excursion we did in Jamaica with Liberty Tours Jamaica. The tour was to Blue Hole and horse back riding in the ocean just the 2 of us. They are very friendly and give a very informative description of the island and the people. This was our favorite stop and excursion of the cruise. Go to Libertytoursjamaica.com to learn more about this company. They are truly a step above everyone else. OUR ROOM 12224 an ocean view balcony. We enjoyed this location and the cabin was nice. Our room steward Stanley was very nice and made sure we had everything we needed. SPA we did the mud room and Jacuzzi room. This was nice but we felt facilities needed an upgrade. ON AND OFF THE SHIP GETTING ON Very fast GETTING OFF I would recommend as early as possible we had a late flight so chose to leave later and it took 1 hour to exit. We enjoyed this cruise and booked another cruise in the future for RCCL and NCL. We feel that for anyone to get the most out of a Cruise you have to Book everything in advance. All dining, all shows, all excursions, room location and book early, check rates often and decide what is best for you. Try not to compare other Cruise lines because they all have negatives. We enjoyed both ships for different reasons and because we planned, we had a great time. We paid for what we felt was going to make our Cruise experience complete and stayed away from upsells like photos and art work that didn't matter to us. We did a comparison on the NCL Getaway site for anyone interested. Happy Cruising to all and hope this review helps.
