Uniworld does a great job to ensure that their guests have a wonderful experience. Great staff overall. No annoying PA announcements onboard, no sales pitches, no selling shows. We began with the land segment in Prague. Our hotel, the Boscolo, was beautiful and just minutes walking distance from Old Town Square. Loved the fact that when Uniworld says "all-inclusive" that it really IS all-inclusive. You will never have an empty glass, during or after your meals. They won't try to upsell you on on better wines. Breakfast and lunch is buffet style while dinners are more formally prepared and presented. Food is excellent!
The only additional excursions we paid for was, on our final day in Vienna, we squeezed in a tour of the Schonbrunn Palace and the Mozart/Strauss concert. Highly recommend both. The concert is really a must-see!
The staterooms are well appointed-- the beds, linens, toiletries, etc. are first-class. The one thing that I would warn you about on the River Ambassador is that the staterooms are not so stately with regard to their size. Extremely tight, except for a couple of larger cabins, all the same size. For that reason, I would probably not recommend this particular vessel. While it was great only having 101 other passengers onboard (capacity is 116), it took some of the enjoyment out of what was a fantastic experience otherwise. On a positive note about our cabin. We had the lowest category on deck 1. Unlike other ships, we were still above the water level with a good size window.
Extremely tight but well appointed. The cabin size would prevent me from recommending this ship.
