TRULY A GREAT TIME
This was our seventh NCL cruise; second in a Haven Suite. We have sailed on Carnival, Disney and Celebrity as well. The primary reason we choose NCL is the freestyle program (we have never been in a main dining room on NCL), and the availability of things to do on board, especially for our teens.
We found the food the best we've had at sea, including Celebrity. We ate at LeBistro, Cagney's, Ocean Blue, Teppanyaki, Moderno, and La Cucina. Ocean Blue was by far the best. We went to the Illusionarium which was a great show, though the food was so-so. We also did the comedy club, which was hilarious. The waterfront concept is a wonderful addition, as are the mojito bar and the bake shop. The Library was a great quiet spot where I often read and relaxed. We did the extreme zip-line in St. Thomas, snorkeled at the Baths, and spent a half day at Atlantis. Our boys had a great time: Ropes course, the plank, slides, and sports. You will never want for something to do on the Getaway.

The Haven Aft-Facing Penthouse with Balcony
Beautifully appointed with great room for four. Lots of storage. One super master bathroom with dual sinks, whirlpool tub and separate shower, both with windows out to the balcony. The balcony was huge. Really huge. Room for two loungers with a side table between them and a table with four comfortable chairs. Could have had at least one more lounger and a whole second table set up. Living area had a table with chairs and a sitting area that converted into twin beds. And the really great addition is the guest bathroom had its own shower. Loved the suite, even though it was a hike to the Haven for breakfast.
