This was my 9h cruise with Carnival. The Sunshine was originally built as the Destiny. Carnival spent $155 million to update the ship.

The good: The out door pool slides and sports deck are truly amazing. The Cruise Director Jamie and her staff made the cruise fun. Jamie has more energy than the energizer bunny. Waiter staff and cabin stewards are all top notch and did a fabulous job. The private day at the beach in Nassua was incredible and was a good value for the price. Kudos to George Lopez for pairing up with Carnival. The two comdedians late shows had me on the floor laughing.

The bad: Carnival upgraded its ships to include more suites. The issue is the rest of the cabins are small and if you have more than 3 adults in a cabin, you will find yourself wanting to jump overboard. The food hasn't changed in the last 5 years. Its the same menu. The food is good but lacks any type of creative imagination you would expect for fine dining. The Sunshine had no band for its shows and the music was piped in. Some of the singers were flat and with the sound of the music being so loud, sounded whiney.

Cabin 4B

Cabin was small cramped and made you want to jump over board. The beds were nice and soft and made for good sleeping
