After reading some very scathing reviews we arrived in Tilbury with some trepidation! After dropping off our luggage we found the car park easily -where there were plenty of friendly staff to direct us to parking bays. One minor bad point - the buses wait until they are packed full before setting off back to the cruise terminal - not a very comfortable experience. Embarkation was fine - although the building is a little run down - the friendly staff more than made up for the wait to board.

We found all the staff we encountered throughout our holiday polite friendly and helpful and on one occasion extremely patient with an elderly gentleman who was hard of hearing.

The food was generally very good - we always ate in the restaurants for dinner - always well presented with extremely polite, accommodating waiting staff. We usually had lunch in the Bistro on deck 10 - this was a bit of a free for all - and sometimes difficult to get a table ( mainly because of people sitting chatting rather than freeing up the tables for other diners).

Cabin Review

Cabin outside

Clean and comfortable - plenty of space - not the most up to date of cabins but certainly value for money. Some engine noise but not enough to stop us sleeping. Our cabin steward was very friendly and efficient. (loved the 'towel animals')
