Overall the cruise on the Seine was very pleasant. The food was very good. We got a good bottle of wine on our table for dinner every night. We wished there was more "cruising" involved, but in actuality, the distance from Paris to Honfleur is not that great.

My only real criticism was the lounge scene and the entertainment. For starters, it's nice to have a bartender with at least some personality. The person on our cruise had none. She was Russian and had the personality of a prison guard. I was almost getting afraid to ask her for a beer.

The worst thing by far was the "entertainment". As a passenger, I was disappointed. As a musician, I was horrified. There was a Hungarian couple who had a fancy Roland keyboard that had pre-programmed music on it. He admitted to me that he could not play the piano. The girl had a guitar that she admitted she could not play. However, that didn't not stop them. They simply pressed a button to start playing one of their pre-programmed songs and, if you can believe this, they stood there and pretended to be playing the music. The girl actually held the guitar (which wasn't amplified, so you could not hear it even if she was playing) and pretended to play it. Also, like the bartender, they were completely lacking in personality. They never said a word to the audience, ever!

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite

We started out with a standard cabin. I'm a big guy and taking a shower was a bit of a challenge. However, we were able to upgrade to one of the two "suites" and were very comfortable for the rest of the trip.
