Just returned from a Baltic cruise on Britannia. This was our fifth cruise with P & O, we booked it a year ago and until we started reading the reviews on this forum had been thoroughly looking forward to it! The weeks before we set sail, we all felt very anxious...we needn't have worried and had an absolutely fantastic experience!
Embarkation was a breeze, we pulled up outside the terminal at just past midday and were onboard by 1pm, cabin was ready immediately (usually the cabins aren't ready until close to 2pm), we headed to horizon for a spot of lunch, had a walk and returned to cabins where all of our luggage was awaiting us.
The ships decor is beautiful, it looks like any modern 5 star hotel (I can't understand how people are complaining about this as the planned interior was well documented prior to ANY cruises being booked). The starburst in the atrium is gorgeous. There are no lifts mid ship which can be a pain, but it in no way spoiled the enjoyment of the cruise for us!
Lovely boutique style of decor, good size TV, good choice of TV shows & films (big improvement), bathroom small, (but plenty big enough for 1 person, which I'm sure that's all it was designed for?!!), shower is bigger (glass door another plus), plenty of wardrobe space for 2 people but it's tight for 2 adults & 2 children.
Always cleaned thoroughly daily, tea & coffee supplies topped up twice daily, lovely white company toiletries.
No individual bedside lamps is the only genuine fault.
