We booked a tour of Alaska for four. We wanted a "Nothing to Worry about" trip and pretty much that is what we got. I have not traveled outside the US since the boarder changes and that was an eye opener. The Princess Cruise staff did a very nice job getting us through customs. Expect a 2 hour deal. The cabin we booked was with the bunks. Only hit our heads 39 times in six days. We may have lost count due to head injuries. Highly recommend the balcony. The rooms get stuffy and having the ocean breeze helps. We did the cruise from Vancouver up to Alaska ($200 cheaper that way per person according to the agent). Two days later still don't have my land legs back. Saw humpback whales, Orcas and Dolphins. We took the Lighthouse Cruise in Kethikan and enjoyed the seals. If you are a novice like myself and don't want to go off the beaten path, this is the way to do it. I would recommend bringing a surge strip for extra plug ins. There are only two in the cabin. PS the staff work very long hours and they deserve an extra tip at the end because the 11.50 per day for all the staff just doesn't do them justice. We had an 18 year old with little activity for the 18-20 to do. No youth activity or adult activity for them.

Better than what I expected. The shower was bigger and the balcony was terrific.
