we are a group of 20 going on this cruise for a wedding wow renewal event. The ship looks promising as it is big and the entertainment look good but this it the extent of good. I don't have all day to write about the negative experiences so here we go:
if you want to get on and off the boat, be patient! it is not so much the number of guests or the number of gangways opened, it is their utter lack of organization and planning. RC Oasis is big but there is such problem to get on and off. For example at Cannes, we lined up for 20 mins on the forward and when it was our turn, someone showed up to take us to the aft, imagine a group of 40 -50 people running around the ship from one end to another end, and you thought you were 'free style cruising', it was maddening, i felt like a refugee getting off the boat.
And forget about elevators , no way you can squeeze in, so use the stairs but wait, the stairs do not lead to all floors in a logical manner because NCL needs to put a huge casino, to make $ and as much as they can, in the middle of the ship. And you need to pass through the casino to go to the restaurants!!
we actually booked a walking tour and paid 10 euro each. the tour is usually free but since our boat docked in the afternoon, past the tour start time, we arranged for our own group walking tour. we enjoyed it very much.
