if you want to get on and off the boat, be patient! it is not so much the number of guests or the number of gangways opened, it is their utter lack of organization and planning. RC Oasis is big but there is such problem to get on and off. For example at Cannes, we lined up for 20 mins on the forward and when it was our turn, someone showed up to take us to the aft, imagine a group of 40 -50 people running around the ship from one end to another end, and you thought you were 'free style cruising', it was maddening, i felt like a refugee getting off the boat.
And forget about elevators , no way you can squeeze in, so use the stairs but wait, the stairs do not lead to all floors in a logical manner because NCL needs to put a huge casino, to make $ and as much as they can, in the middle of the ship. And you need to pass through the casino to go to the restaurants!!
Another unheard or seen of deficiency for a ship this size is the lack of a grand lobby with staircase. can you imagine a group of 20 taking pictures and having to find a side staircase with other cruisers walking by and showing up in our group picture? it happened to us multiple times. and what is odd is that the photographers would rudely tell you not to take your own pictures of the group - i have been on 10 plus cruises and the photographers in all others would offer to help but not this Epic, again money grabbing culture.
The only good thing i can say about this ship is the cabin crew - efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. one of them found bed bugs in our big kids' room and reported to the ship. I was grateful to her! they dealt with it swiftly and changed our kids' room, if not because of this, NCL Epic will get no star from me.

Flamenco Showpoor seating area and you couldn't see anything from the side. we were early but they didn't allow you to line up and told you to go walk elsewhere, we came back 5 mins earlier, and the whole room was filled up and we were stuck to the back and side. the performers also were not in the best mood, so they were just doing their job. not worth the money.View All 32 Flamenco Show Reviews
Private TourWe booked it through barcelona Day tour and they were late in pick up. we got up super early so we wouldn't be late but waited for 30 mins for the pick up. The guide offered no apology and just said it was others who were late from another ship. This was their problem, not mine. And for the tour, the guide has no interest to know about us and there is no passion in the tours.View All 51 Private Tour Reviews
St. Paul de Vence Walking Tourwe booked our own tour with Cecile and she was a great guide, passionate and knowledgeable. i was impressed with her professionalism. she showed up late due to miscommunication but at the end of the tour, she insisted to give us a discount and i totally didn't expect it as the tour was great. we ended up giving her a bigger tip.View All 13 St. Paul de Vence Walking Tour Reviews
Amalfi CoastI was entrusted by my group of friends to look for a private tour. For those who have done this type of planning before, you will agree that it is extremely challenging. I am so glad I found allarounditaly and Fabrizio and his team. There are a number of tour companies but allarounditaly is a one stop service but not a cookie cutter tour company. Fabrizio's personality and knowledge is the secret source. By the end of the tour, my friends all credited me for the excellent job but in fact, it is Fabrizio and team that made the magic happened.View All 266 Amalfi Coast Reviews
They are flexible and easy to work with. When we did Amalfi coast, I wanted to go to Ravello and Fabrizio, as our driver guide, never rushed us and when it was really tight, he still accommodated us to make the stop over in Ravello by turning back his van on the narrow road to get us to Ravello. he is amazing!
Palma de Mallorca (Majorca)we actually booked a walking tour and paid 10 euro each. the tour is usually free but since our boat docked in the afternoon, past the tour start time, we arranged for our own group walking tour. we enjoyed it very much.View All 844 Palma de Mallorca (Majorca) Cruise Port Reviews
