A few hiccups before we arrived, but I won't get into those…We arrived at Cape Liberty with DH proud of himself for driving through NYC (well the Bronx) for the first time ever. We are golfers and have packed our golf clubs for airline travel. But can we drop them off with our luggage? No according to the porter, Celebrity "won't allow it". So miffed, we tossed them back into the trunk of the car with me flashing a dirty look at the porter. Not thinking we drove to the parking lot.

Silly us, DH should have dropped me off at the entrance to the passenger terminal with the golf clubs. Then he could have parked the car and hopped on the shuttle. But no, we BOTH drove to the parking lot and wheeled our clubs onto the shuttle. The driver helped us on with them. Then the clubs and us, checked in and prepared to board…second hiccup.

The machine that takes your photo and verifies your sea pass broke. So we stood in line for 30 minutes in a hall with no AC…I saw wheelchairs being rolled out. Finally Celebrity decided to send us up the escalator to get verified on the ship. By this time it was close to 1pm and DH feeling defiant suggested that we go straight to the cabin to dump the golf clubs. Having booked aqua class, our cabin was more or less ready. So the clubs were dumped and we went for lunch. And it was lovely…a glass of wine was much appreciated by that point. Third & fourth hiccup.
