The food was a dissapointment

The ship although rehauled was dark, which made it seem dingy. The food in the main dining room, Blu and Tuscan grille were also a let down, especially since we cruised the Mediterranean on the Equinox which is the same class of ship and the food on that was spectacular!! We were disappointed as we were hoping for the same quailty dining experience. The food in the ocean view cafe was, however , very good every day. The ship was spotlessly clean. We even observed them steam cleaning the hand rails! A+ for clean! Room was very comfortable especially the bed, which for me is the most important attribute. Cafe Bacio was excellent and the only place on board you could get a decent cup of tea. Although it will cost uou extra. The tea in ocean view was horrible, like warm dishwater. Very poor quality. Definitely not what you would expect from a Celebrity Cruise. I did hear that they hired an executive from carnival to cut costs. Whether that is true or not the quailty of food has gone downhill considerably. The ports of call were excellent which is why we chose this cruise also the 123 go promotion. However, the excursions were very poorly organized. We lost an hour at the hermitage due to poor cruise opetators. We will not sail with Celebrity again until the food improves.

Stockholm

Loved Stockholm!! Don't miss the changing of the guards at the Royal palace it was amazing. Starts at noon but get there at 11:30 for a good vatage point. The city is clean and extremely easy to get around. The hoho bus and boat are worth doing. We did an archipelago dinner cruise on a 1930 steamship. Excellent and I highly recommend it!! Also dinner at The Burger Bar, just off a cute little park with great food!

Old Town Porvoo

Lunch at the Haikka was a highlight, beautiful manor House and grounds. Porvoo was disappointimg and small. Basically one street and not much on it. The boat ride was enjoyable.

City Tour

Not enough shopping time. Too rushed. Guide was informative and spoke good English. Again group too large, would book privately next time. ..... .......

Hermitage Museum

Very poorly organized. Should have booked with a private tour company. We lost an hour of time in the heritage as we had to wait for late arrivals who decided to go shopping while the rest of us waited on the bus.

Peterhof Palace

Too rushed, not enough time, group was so large people kept wandering off. Hydrofoil was a disappointment as the locals booked all the first class seats up front and we were left sucking diesel fumes in the back.

Russian Ballet Show

Loved everything about it, from being allowed I'm Catherine's private theatre to the quailty of the prima ballerina dancing. She literally floated on air.

Old Town of Tallinn

Loved it but needed more time. It ended at 2:30 and we did not need to be back to the ship until 4:30, so it would have been nice if instead of rushing us back to the ship we could have stayed in tallin for a few extra hours. Folk art show was excellent as was the tour guide kuile aka kelly
