We were brought on this cruise by two Diamond Members who paid over $10k for the three cabins we had for this cruise. There were six of us in our party. Left Baltimore on a Saturday and started out OK, by Monday things started getting bad, events cancelled, buffet closed, all staff diverted to wiping down and cleaning ship. Staff stopped cleaning cabins after Monday, only changed sheets and towels, we had to clean our own bathrooms. Every surface on the ship was covered in sticky cleaning solution that was never wiped down. Felt like staying in some run-down no-tell-motel. By the end of the week you could not even see reflections in any of the mirrors. Senior staff did not acknowledge that their was an issue until later in the week when things really got bad. Major arial show was cancelled five minutes before showtime even though staff knew hours before that their was an issue. People missed dinner to see the show only to find out that it was cancelled. Replaced by a game show. Cruise staff was non-existant and did nothing to make guests happy. Last excursion day was cancelled and cruise was ended day early. However, ending the cruise a day early meant captain cruised at a very high rate of speed back to Baltimore which made it impossible to enjoy last day at sea. Pools were closed and drained because of choppiness. Hotel staff was rude, and lied to customer about what was going on and all they did to compensate was to give a certificate for a single day on another cruise which had to be used within a year. And $75 per cabin for inconvenience. Even though they did not clean cabins they still charged the $12/day gratuity. The only bright light on the cruise was our dining room wait staff and bar server in the dining room. There was such a lack of service on this ship we ended up having to get our own drinks most of the dine, except for the dining room. Only once did we see a waiter working the pool area. And when one of us would go to the bar to get a round of drinks the bar tender would give you a hard time about getting six drinks at once, for your whole party, even though they had not wait staff. Last night of the cruise I was sitting up in the lobby at around 2 am reading and all of a sudden a cloud of chemical came wafting over me because they were spraying down the elevator area. Never even bothered to check to see if there were people in the centrum lobby. Who knows what was in that spray, I was coughing for weeks afterwards. Would never go back on this ship and would never recommend RCL.

Cabin 3026
Cabin was nice.

Problem was it was only cleaner for the first two nights we were on the ship. We had to clean it ourself after that.

Floors were not vacumned after the 2nd day.

Port & Shore Excursion Reviews

  • Baltimore
Getting on the ship was fairly easy, did take a long time to go through the lines and there was not much communication.

Was very difficult for one of our passengers who walks with a cane because there was no place to sit down, you had to stay in the line or loose your place.

We had a great time on snorkeling adventure, just wish there had been more training before putting us in the water.

Crew on the ship was great.

RCL almost caused us to miss our excursion because the disembarkation process was so unorganized.

Again, almost missed bus due to unorganized ship and it taking so long to get clearance. We were supposed to be in the first group off the ship, but because it took so long to get things organized, the 2nd group got their as well and because we were already in the theater, they went first which made all of us late.

Wish it had not rained and been so cold, but that could not be controlled, was still great.

This is the port we were looking forward to as we were told so much about it. We planned this to be our beach day and to relax.

Unfortunately, we never got to experience this or have that beach day. Port was cancelled and we were told we would have another sea day.

Due to captain ending the cruise early and cruising so fast back to Baltimore, we could not even be outside on the last sea day. Pools were closed on the ship due to traveling so fast.
