My family and I traveled on the NCL Sky for a weekend cruise out of Miami to Bahamas. Embarkation was very easy. Once aboard we had lunch at the buffet, then went to the drill (which is not so much fun but required for all passengers). Afterwards, my kids went swimming in the pool and enjoyed the hot tub. Then my boys spent a few hours playing basketball and ping pong. We had dinner at the buffet, and there was a good selection of food. My husband and son went to a comedy show, and they said it was funny.

On Saturday I took three of my children to Atlantis Aquaventure. We got off the ship early and took a taxi to Atlantis. We bought admission tickets at the Coral Towers. I rented a locker for $10.00 to store valuables. My kids and I enjoyed the lazy river, pool and slides. Children had to be 48 inches tall to ride the bigger slides. My daughter was 47 1/2 inches tall so she couldn't ride through the shark tunnel. There is staff member who measures the kid's height. Next time I would probably purchase the Atlantis excursion because it includes transportation and lunch. My husband and son went on a sailing and snorkeling excursion and they had a fabulous time. We had to be back on the ship by 4:30 p.m. We ate dinner in the dining room, and the food was good. Then kids played basketball and pingpong. The musical show in the evening was entertaining.

On Sunday we went to NCL's private island, Great Stirrup Cay. The beach is fabulous. We rented a big raft, and my family and I went swimming and snorkeling. We brought our own snorkeling gear, but you can rent snorkeling equipment on the island. The buffet lunch on the island was delicious. There is a small straw market on the island where you can buy souvenirs and t-shirts. I notice that the vendors accepted cash and credit cards.

Cabin B3

We were in connecting cabins, which were 2057 and 2058. The rooms were on the 10th floor towards the back of the ship. Our room steward, Pilit, provided us with a door stopper to keep the connecting door open. Having young children, his was very helpful. This is the first time we were ever provided with a door stopper for a connecting room. The room were in a convenient location, because we were very close to the stairs and elevators and a short walk to the buffet, which was one floor above us. My kids easily went alone to the buffet because it was so close to our rooms. Our cabins were clean and nicely decorated. The room steward was very helpful. He made sure we had plenty of clean towels and he tidied our room daily. There was a small fridge in the rooms which we used to store bottled water. The rooms are on the small size, and there are only a few draws, so don't bring too many clothes. Having a balcony was nice and made the room seem bigger. It was smooth sailing the entire weekend. I hardly felt the ship move.
