We have gone on over 20 cruises (Princess, Holland America, Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, NCL) and this was the worst one ever. The ports of call were great (which is the reason we picked this one). This was the 11-Day Art & Architecture of Barcelona Cruisetour. Four days in Barcelona prior to boarding were great (with 2 days of city tours included), except for the glitch in hotel reservations. We were sent travel vouchers for one hotel, but our airport transfer took us to a different hotel (which accepted our voucher). The hotel we stayed at was 6 blocks further from La Rambla (not a big deal) but an e-mail or text from NCL to inform of us the change would have been the right thing to do.
It is said that some banks are too big to fail, and the people who designed the Norwegian EPIC might have thought the same thing (that it was too big to fail). They were wrong. It was an EPIC fail IMHO.
During boarding, we were 't directed to priority check-in (shorter line).
Coffee maker in cabin was a nice touch. Balcony was large, and there was lots of storage.
Poorly designed stateroom-frosted glass around toilet and stall shower (which were separated) gave too little privacy (especially if the door to the cabin was being opened). Tiny sink, across from the foot of the bed, splashed over on tissue box installed below sink. If you use conditioner for your hair, bring your own. Ditto for hand/body lotion.
