This was our second NCL cruise to Alaska from Seattle. Our first was in September 2012. It was cold and wet. This trip was in May. It was during our second port of call in Skagway, that the sun came out and brighten up the whole landscape for the rest of our cruise. It was beautiful!

NCL Pearl did not disappoint. We enjoyed the entrainment and the casino. We got the thermo spa membership for both of us. Great for sore muscles and just relaxing.

For dinners we always sign up for the Dining Package. We did two nights at the Japanese Teppananki grill and two nights at Le Bistro Parisian restaurant and three nights at Cagney's Steakhouse.

Mini-Suite with Balcony

Cabin MB

We had a balcony suite on Deck 11 toward the back of the ship. It was near the elevators per our request. I have a bad ankle. It was nice to hop up to deck 12 for breakfast at the buffet for us early raisers. The room was the best we ever had. It even had a mini fridge to keep our bottle water cold and a tub in the bathroom. The view from the balcony was wonderful. We really are spoiled now.

Port Reviews

Glacier Bay

The cruise ship does a slow tour thru the area. The park ranchers are giving descriptions over the loud speaker. We sat on our balcony and enjoyed the sunshine. Beautiful.
