This was our second cruise and both cruises have been on Carnival Spirit. We chose to do a sampler cruise with another couple to do something a bit different over a long weekend and our friends advised that after a few nights at sea you come back feeling relaxed and as though you have been away for much longer. I have to agree that it was relaxing and it did feel like we have been away for longer than 3 nights.

As we had previously travelled on Carnival Spirit almost two years earlier it was great being back on a familiar ship and it was almost like we have never left. It is starting to show its age but all areas were well maintained and everything was always kept clean.

The majority of the ship is well laid out but La Playa Grille (Deck 9) always seems congested and the flow of people seems odd at times, maybe because this is possibly one of the busiest parts of the ship.
