Sail Date: Feb 2015

Having sailed on Diamond's sister ship, Sapphire, in 2013 I was looking forward to places like the International Cafe and the pizzeria in the Atrium. How disappointing to find there was none on Diamond and the seating arrangement in the Atrium made it near impossible to get a seat so we could enjoy a coffee with our friends. No light lunches or a pizza either. You had to go up to Deck 14 and grab a slice of mediocre pizza if you wanted pizza. Given that we were extremely happy with the service in the Vivaldi dining room. My wife is dairy intolerant and the Restaurant Supervisor (Allan) visited us each night with the next days menu so she could make a choice and it would be prepared dairy free for her. He even found us in Sabbatini's when we were dining there, and they also ensured her meal was dairy free. Each night a surprise dessert was provided as well. The cruise was great but the ship was lacking, more so as it was full, just over 2700 pax. Only other problem was avoiding being run over by motorised scooters (wheel chairs) and walkers. They demand right of way at all times and in all places.
