I cruise a few times of year and was excited to board The Pride of America. I was confused on how the terminal was set up but we found our way and actually boarded rather quickly. Waiting for our stateroom was the standard time frame. I did like the way they released staterooms. No guessing, you were notified by level. I was shocked at the size of the stateroom. We had a balcony which is typically a larger room. This thing was tiny! It was at lease 3 feet smaller than any other ship I have been on. Very little closet space and no storage.
Our next shock was how miserable most of the crew were. They looked, and acted, like they would rather have a tooth pulled than serve their guests. The food was the worse ship food I have ever had. The best thing they had was a popcorn machine and fruit! Some of the shows were good. They had a singing group we enjoyed. I will not sail with NCL again. Save your money and time. On the upside the ports were as beautiful as you would expect. The one thing they had no control over was awesome.
So very small and no place to put anything.
We didn't do an excursion. We did go in to town to shop but that was all. They had a decent amount of shopping and restaurants so you could get a decent meal.
