My sister and I were very fortunate to go on the maiden voyage of Vikings first ocean cruise ship, the Viking Star. It is a beautiful ship, the decorum tastefully done and inviting, with many welcoming areas for friends to gather for drinks, conversation, relaxing, etc. The staff were incredible, very friendly and attentive to all the guests, first class service. The dining offerings were superb, exceptionally good food. The perks that Viking includes in their cruises are second to none, and another reason why we choose Viking. A free tour at every port; free wi-fi; free bottles of water while on the ship, exiting the ship, and returning to ship; free wine/beer with lunch and dinner; free laundromat; American outlets in the room; free room service; every room has a balcony; free in-room mini bar with refills; all of these wonderful amenities that you won't find on any other cruise line!

The ports were all very convenient, transportation provided was very clean and nice. Entertainment was very good. Viking does an excellent job of meet and greet at airports, both for embarkation and disembarkation. We have taken two Viking River cruises and one Viking Ocean cruise and highly recommend them to all of our friends! Viking gives you a lot of value for what you pay for, and does it first class!

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Veranda

The cabin was very well done. A full size shower with plexiglass door, so you had plenty of room with feeling closed in. A drawer and storage shelves on each side of bathroom sink so each of us could store our own toiletries. American outlets so we did not have to bother with adapters and converters. Comfortable beds, in-room mini bar, flat screen TV on wall, seating on balcony, and a doorbell!
