This was my 19th cruise with Carnival. I just recently moved to Ft. Myers (about 2 hours from Miami) but decided to start vacation a day early. I drove into Miami the night before and stayed at the Marriott Biscayne Bay. VERY nice hotel, and had a room with a port view, made me even more excited to see the Ecstasy in the AM.
Although the Ecstasy is an older and smaller ship, She is very well maintained. There were plenty of activities throughout the day. The cruise director Craig was outstanding! Service of course was the best. The people next door to me were smoking on their balcony, Carnival QUICKLY put a stop to that and made sure I wasn't inconvenienced with the smell of their smoke. The staff was always happy and acknowledged you by name and were very pleasant.
I had a balcony cabin (U202). very spacious and the balcony was larger than I expected which was a real treat. I loved ordering room service and eating out in private.
Great cabin! very quiet and very spacious. lots of closet and drawer space. nothing beats your own private balcony
