We really enjoyed this cruise; being a Platinum member made the cruise that much better. Getting on and off the cruise ship were a breeze and done very quickly and efficiently. Having priority on embarking on a tender at a port is a big plus. There was ample seating for the evening shows. The complimentary beverage event for Gold and above members was one of the best we've experienced on a Carnival ship - not very crowded and great service and entertainment. One of our waiters, Gerard, a World History teacher from India, was very entertaining - during the evening dinner entertainment by the dining room crew, on three nights, he donned and imitated Michael Jackson outfits and Batman and Spiderman outfits. We definitely will consider this cruise again in the future.

The only complaint I have is that the coffee on the Lido deck is on the bitter side. We ended up going to breakfast in the Pacific dining room because the coffee, although using the same coffee grounds, was much better - we found out the dining room brews the coffee differently.

Ocean View

Very nice and well kept.

Port Reviews

Grand Turk

We like this port because of the close proximity of the public beaches to the pier. The snorkeling at this beach is okay. Next time, we may try an excursion from off the pier.

Half Moon Cay

Very nice private beach. The barbeque was good. The snorkeling was okay because there is little to see along the private beach; however, there is plenty of space to snorkel and the water is very clear.

Nassau

We took the water taxi to and from the drop-off to Atlantis. The price is very reasonable ($4 each way per person). There is a public beach within walking distance. The shopping downtown is very good. This port does get crowded because of the number of cruise ships that are in port at any given time.

Miami

Very easy to get in and out of. This time, we took a shuttle (SAS Transportation) from the Ft. Lauderdale airport - highly recommend them. They charge $15 per person each way and are very prompt in picking up both at the airport and the port.
