Cabin: Promenade Stateroom

Our family of 5 and friends sailed on the Independence of the Seas May 24th - 31st. We stayed in the Promenade staterooms on decks 6 and 7. Our windows overlooked the Promenade. I am so glad we booked the Promenade staterooms as opposed to the ocean view. It was so nice to be able to look out and watch everything going on, we were even able to watch the 70's dance party from our room.

This was our 4th cruise, but 1st time on a ship with a Promenade. I honestly do not think I could ever cruise again on a ship without one. The cruise ship seemed so open and the Promenade was a great place for us to meet up with family and friends.

Our only complaint was the food. The quality of cruise ship food (both Carnival and Royal Caribbean) really has deteriorated since we took our 1st cruise 8 years ago. Our dining room waiters Amit and Rosary were fantastic. Our room steward was nice also.

My only complaint is the smell in the stateroom bathroom. It had a smell of urine, thank goodness I brought my Lysol.
