Embarkation is so much improved with the new SF terminal compared to last year. The cruise ship was delayed due to heavy cleaning from an outbreak of flu virus last cruise May 15, 2015. TIP: BRING CLOROX WIPES AND WIPE YOUR ROOM ON ARRIVAL (ESP. PHONE AND REMOTE CONTROL); USE YOUR OWN ROOM BATHROOM; WASH HANDS FOR 20 SECONDS. Never felt ill, room was very clean even if slightly dated. Sheets and bedspread should be replaced..old with some small holes and duvet stuffing had clumped together. Service was exceptional..from housekeeping to dinning. Naturalist speakers were wonderful and very informative. I am glad Princess has decreased dancing Broadway shows (how many times can you see Motor City and British Invasion shows after you have seen them on several other Princess cruises?) and offered Comedians, Hypnotist, Movies, Impressionist, a fabulous singer (JESSE HAMILTON), etc. Loved the ports..but please Princess, a longer time in Victoria, BC! One half of our ports were tendered which takes more time and less port time. Dining food was generally good, esp. in the dining room We had early dinning so we could see the 8:00 and 9:00 PM shows and it worked out well. Loved Rolando (our head waiter) and Bianca (our housekeeper).

Alaska is beautiful, chilly in May, but so beautiful. Never went to the outdoor movies (way to cold) or swimming in the pools, but so glad I went and would go again in a second. Thanks Princess!

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

Very clean, some mild rocking which lulled me to sleep at night. Nice large balcony..which we did not use a lot due to the breeze and cold weather.

Port Reviews

Haines

Sweet friendly town, met the local Tilget mayor. Port time should be cut down with more time in Victoria. Wish we had taken the railway to Sagway...hear the trip and gorgeous scenery.

Juneau

Took our own tour to Mendenall Glacier. So worth it..go see glaciers while they still exist! 2 mile round trip pleasant walk with a rushing waterfall and view of the glacier close.

Ketchikan

Ok travelers..here is a tip..take your own Island Air seaplane flight into Misty ford. Michelle lands the plane in the water and lets you go ashore. There are only two seaplane companies that do this because it requires extra money on permits. So well worth the price...we saw mountain goats with baby, humpback whales, bald eagles and stunning cliffs/lakes. It cost $239/person and book well in advance because she is Number 1 rated for that area.
